Chronic Back Pain
I am very pleased with the results of Sequoia's Pneu-Back Program. I referred a 72 year old female with osteoarthritis of the lumbar spine with S1 radiculopathy (documented on MRI and nerve conduction test). Her back pain was constant and had been bothering her for two years. She rated her pain as 5 out of 10. She also experienced numbness and tingling down both legs which would come and go. She had tried acupuncture, chiropractic and epidural injections, but these were only mildely helpful. Her daily activities, like cleaning the house, were still limited and she could not walk for more than 20 minutes. After just a few visits, her pain was greatly reduced. After 24 visits, she has no numbness or tingling down her legs. She now rates her pain as 0-1 out of 10. She is back to her regular activities and is even painting her house. She is constantly singing the praises of Sequoia PT. I look forward to sending more patients to Sequoia.

I had severe pain and numbness in my hip, leg and foot from an impinged sciatica nerve. It has lasted almost a year during which I tried exercises, chiropractic and acupuncture. When I came to Sequoia, I didn't think it would help at all. I had been to two different doctors, a chiropractor and even had an epidural injection in my spine. I became depressed and lost all hope I would ever be able to function normally. I am only 25 and even picking up my 2 year old little girl was impossible. I'm 63. I had been suffering with back pain for many years, a result of carrying the mail for the USPS for 20 years... About four months, (Oct 2009) I had a bout of sciatica in my right leg. I had a completely collapsed disc in my low back. The vertebrae were bone on bone. On a scale of 1-10, my pain was a 10 plus. I had a caregiver during the day and a nurse at night. Since I have been going to Sequoia Physical Therapy, my balance has vastly improved and my neurologist has commented on the big improvement. Also, walking is much better.
