Meet The Team

Louie Labial, DPT

I was born in the Philippines and migrated to the United States with my family when I was 10 years old.  While growing up, I became more involved with sports as a way to make friends and develop my self-esteem.  As I got deeper involved with sports, both as an athlete and a spectator, I became fascinated with how the body heals and recovers from injuries.  I became especially interested in the role of physical therapy in the recovery process.  Being exposed to the medical field through my mother & sister (both nurses), choosing to be involved in the medical field and become a physical therapist was an easy choice.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Applied Health and Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) degrees from Azusa Pacific University (APU).  APU was an excellent place for me to develop my skills through the use of state-of-the-art technology as well as one-on-one mentorship from faculty members.  Now, as a professional, I offer the same mentorship to my students as an Adjunct Faculty for Human Anatomy Lab at APU.

I am very fortunate to be able to help others for a career.  It is very rewarding to see my patients regain their full function and be able to live their lives actively again.  Here at Sequoia Physical Therapy, I look forward to continue the same high standard of care with implementation of new treatment programs such as the Pneu-Back Program.

Ryan Somers, DPT

I learned about physical therapy while growing up in Camarillo, California, a small town in Ventura County best known for its huge outlet mall.  Both of my parents had orthopedic problems and so I became interested in the medical field.  I wanted to help and serve people who had medical problems too.   Trying to choose between becoming a medical doctor or a physical therapist was difficult.  Once I learned I was able to spend an hour with a patient as a physical therapist, I was hooked on therapy.

I earned my B.S. in Applied Health and DPT (Doctor of Physical Therapy) degree from Azusa Pacific University.  APU provided a wonderful learning experience and a place where I was able to conduct research, most notably studying a core strength exercise program that proved to reduce the number of falls among patients in wheelchairs.  I teach the Physiology Lab for the APU, so my association with the university continues.

The atmosphere here at Sequoia is extremely upbeat, warm, personal and friendly.  I honestly love my job.  We laugh from the time we open to the time we close.  Be prepared to have the time of your life while receiving great care here at Sequoia Physical Therapy.

RonRon Cram, President

I grew up in southern California and always loved sports. In the course of time, I found myself training athletes to run faster and jump higher using technologically advanced equipment and protocols developed by Pneumex. Helping athletes get better is a tremendous thrill for me. If you have not seen videos of athletes training on this equipment, be sure to visit our Athleticism page and Congrats page to see it. The exercises we do are not just eye-catching, they really get results!

As the president of the company, I am also responsible for calling on doctors and representing the clinic to the medical community. This is fun for me as I get to meet a lot of great people. Our clinic has always had great therapists and gotten very good results for all kinds of physical problems. Now that we have the Pneu-Back Program, Sequoia is unique among Orange County physical therapy clinics in the amazing results we get with chronic back trouble. If you have sciatica, bulging or herniated discs or degenerative disc disease, Sequoia Physical Therapy is the place to be!
