Back Mobilization
Nearly everyone at one time or another, especially baseball players and golfers, suffer from back pain, spasms and stiffness. Using vibration therapy, patients can alleviate back pain and have greater range of motion – sometimes in a matter of just 15 minutes.
Services include:
- Complete functional assessment
- Clinical rehab to alleviate pain and gain greater mobility
- Injury prevention education
Stand Tall
High school, college and weekend athletes often have improper posture. During a screening at one high school, 98% of athletes had improper posture that can result in less strength, slower running and increased risk of injury.
The Stand Tall program provides a safe and comprehensive training and treatment protocol to correct and stabilize the spine to achieve an athletic posture.
Services include:
- Pre- and post-back map to document results
- Outstanding back stretching equipment and protocols
- Individualized attention and workout on a vibration plate
Ready To Play
Athletes recovering from injury need to get back on the field as soon as possible. However, a premature recovery can put other parts of the body at risk of injury. The athlete needs clinical rehabilitation plus injury prevention services.
Services include:
- Clinical rehab to reduce swelling, gain strength, mobility and range of motion
- Individualized training program to prevent future injuries
- Introduction to importance of training sensory systems and the mind
- Complete functional assessment
- Injury prevention education
Athletic Training
P5 Performance Training is co-located with Sequoia Physical Therapy in the Buena Park facility. This unique relationship provides Sequoia patients with access to technologically advanced training equipment and protocols to help patients get better faster.
Much of P5’s equipment was developed in a physical therapy clinic and was later seen to be the best way to help athletes get stronger and faster.
5’s athlete training programs take place in the Explosive Power Gym (XPG) and include the STRONG program and the FAST program.
